WOMEN@STOCKMEIER – A strong network for women
Successful networking is a crucial factor for professional and personal development. Exchanging ideas with colleagues from different areas opens up new perspectives, promotes mutual support and strengthens self-confidence. Especially for women in the working world, a strong network can help to overcome challenges together, recognize opportunities and actively promote equality.
The WOMEN@STOCKMEIER network was founded in 2021 by three dedicated female employees of the STOCKMEIER Group. It now has over 40 members from across Germany. It is aimed at female managers and colleagues who want to develop professionally, technically or personally.
Goals of the network
WOMEN@STOCKMEIER aims to actively promote women within the STOCKMEIER Group. The focus is on:
- Networking and cross-location exchange
- Professional training and personal development
- Promoting equality and diversity in the company
- Increasing the visibility of women within the organization
- Strengthening communication skills to improve assertiveness and quick-wittedness
- Representation of women's interests within the company
- Discussion of relevant topics that particularly affect women in the compan
Structure and organization
The network is supported by the active engagement of its members. The participants get involved in various working groups, including member management, organizing online and offline meetings, and communication.
Formats and activities
Three online meetings per year for networking
These 1.5-hour meetings are used to exchange ideas on current topics and initiatives. The participants discuss important developments, coordinate future activities and actively shape the further development of the network.
“Meet to Inspire” – digital coffee breaks every two weeks
During their break, colleagues meet in small groups in a relaxed atmosphere to discuss a range of topics. Those who have time simply drop by. This format not only offers the opportunity for informal exchange, but is also ideal training for small talk and for building networks.
Inspirational keynotes and training
Professional and personal development are the focus here. Topics such as saying no, resilience or (self-)leadership are taught by experienced speakers in a practical way and help participants to develop professionally and personally.
Once a year, a face-to-face meeting at one of the locations
Once a year, a large meeting takes place locally to enable personal encounters. The network has already visited the Bielefeld, Herford and Lemgo sites. During factory tours and lectures by colleagues, the participants gained exciting insights into various company departments.
Regular after-work get-togethers in Bielefeld
These informal gatherings take place at irregular intervals and are organized by dedicated colleagues from the network. In a relaxed atmosphere, there is an opportunity for personal exchange and to further strengthen the network.
Exchange via a dedicated Teams channel
The Teams channel serves as a central platform for quick and easy exchange. In addition to general topics, there are special areas such as “I'm looking for/I'm offering” and an introductory round for new members to get to know each other better.
